"Sit To Fit" (A Running Spot Fitness Program Helping to Prepare Beginning Walkers and Joggers for a 5k)
If you’ve ever felt motivated to begin an exercise program, to get out and walk or run, and then you lost interest, here is a training program just for you… join other beginners, joggers and walkers, and discover the benefits of getting fit. Our program offers you an enjoyable way to train and participate in a local 5k event. The program is convenient to you and your schedule. Why 5k? 5k refers to 5,000 meters, the equivalent of 3.1 miles, the most popular distance for running and walking events.

Training Begins March 11, 2013 We meet weekly on Mondays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.;
Anderson location will have a morning option.

run / walkers or runners (however, anyone wishing to join is welcome).
Goal Event: The May 4 Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon 5k
Cost to Join: $50 Includes technical shirt, technical socks, gift card,
motivational tips, a like-minded group to associate with

Training for all locations begins Monday, March 11. All sessions meet at 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. Only the Anderson location has an optional morning session at 9:30 a.m. Go to the online registration link to register now and choose your location.

How are you? First of all I wanted to tell you thank you for setting up the Sit to Fit program. I absolutely love it! I'm very close to being able to do run/walk now and I never thought I'd be there. It's awesome!

Hi! My name is Sara Dixon. My son, Joe Trainer, signed me up for Sit to Fit. I am going to walk the 5k in the morning. I just wanted to say thanks. I loved being part of this group. I hope to see some more beginner type trainings closer to my area. I live in Mason and drove to Anderson, so I am hopeful for more group trainings further north.

Last night was my first night to join the N. KY group. I have to admit, on my drive from work to Edgewood, I was trying to talk myself out of going because I left work later than I wanted and didn't want to show up late. When I pulled into the parking lot, the group was warming up and knew then I was ready to do this! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I am looking forward to Thursday, as well as the weeks ahead!
